My name is Sandra Bible and I am a longtime resident of Phillips Ranch/Pomona. I am an active community member and a financial counselor by trade. I plan to use my expertise in finance and management to ensure that our schools remain safe and competitive.

I have been an active member in my church in Pomona for 20 years. I share the safety concerns of so many of our neighbors. As a Sunday School teacher, I understand how critical safe schools are.
The Six Essentials
School safety must be a top priority within PUSD!
We also need to work on culture and climate to ensure that bullying, gang threats, and toxic behaviors are checked and corrected.
Accountability has to be a top goal for PUSD's governance!
We need to ensure that PUSD manage existing resources better without closing more schools and passing additional bonds.
Notify parents first during emergencies
Our schools must do a better job of notifying parents in a timely manner.
Do not close neighborhood schools
Our neighborhood children are being forced to walk long distances because of so-called school consolidations.
Re-establish academic rigor in ALL of our schools with qualified teachers
If our students are to be prepared for strong college and career options in the future, then we must prepare our children for those opportunities today.
Acquire more credentialed teachers to help our students succeed
We need innovative solutions for recruiting, hiring, and retaining quality teachers now.
